by PRWEB marketing web pr One-day course shows delegates how to make their web sites really work. Become your own 'Web Marketing expert' and make your marketing budget go further' London, (PRWEB) July 21, 2004 -- Starting in September 2004, The PR Training Centre is running a new one-day course entitled 'Do Your Own Web Marketing & PR'. The course is designed for busy people tasked with responsibility for their organisation's web site. Full details of the course are listed on The PR Training Centre web site at www.theprtrainingcentre.com 'Do Your Own Web Marketing' is a one-day Masterclass in how to make a web site work effectively at marketing the organisation and attracting customers for companies of every size. It is designed for non-specialist marketing people who have been tasked with responsibility for the web site and is aimed especially at organisations who are currently paying substantial fees to consultants and agencies promising to 'optimise' web site performance. 'Do Your Own Web Marketing isn't just for techies,' says co-presenter Jacqui Green. 'We've designed it for anyone who has been given the job of making their web more visible or who wants to understand how to utilised the internet as an effective marketing and PR tool. There is no mystery about successful web marketing, but there are some golden rules and these are what we teach. The course is particularly useful for companies who feel that, because they lack technical knowledge, they have no choice but to employ expensive consultants. We show how you can save a packet by managing your own web marketing - and we've already saved our delegates many thousands in fees.' The course is co-presented by seasoned marketing and web professionals. Jacqui Green has run a successful high-tech PR agency for fifteen years and has a background in IT Management. Richard Milton has been a technology writer, journalist and broadcaster for more than 25 years and is author of the management handbooks 'Do Your Own PR' and 'Bad Company' - chosen by The Sunday Times as its business book of the week. The presenters have trained hundreds of Britain's top executives in handling the press over the past 15 years. Since the beginning of 2004, The PR Training Centre has presented regular public monthly courses in London's Trafalgar Square, where its most successful course is 'Do Your Own PR'. Says Jacqui Green, 'Our new Web Marketing & PR Course is a logical development from 'Do Your Own PR' - it's the subject our delegates tell us they most want to learn more about next. At present, web marketing is often seen as a black art, yet our experience shows that anyone can be successful if they follow some important rules.' 'Marketing budgets are already tight enough at present', says Green. 'The last thing anyone wants to do is to spend large chunks of budget on Web Marketing 'experts' to advise them, when in a single day they can learn 90 per cent of it for themselves.' Topics covered on the course include;
* How to make the Internet sell your products and services effectively The course is designed for any manager who is tasked, formally or informally, with managing the organisation's web site in order to develop markets and gain higher recognition for the organisation's products or services. Relevant job titles include marketing manager, marketing assistant, marketing communications manager/ assistant, and similar roles. After attending 'Do Your Own Web Marketing', managers will be able to:
* Successfully exploit the Internet for both marketing and PR
